This small green Oak framed structure unites a garden and a house. It nestles at the foot of a large villa on the edge of Ashburton, Dartmoor. The textures and materials make for a delightful transition from the natural to the more formal architecture of the house.
The new building sits on a raised platform that gives it a real presence, the walkways leading to it make the building playful, like a childs’ tree house.
These small interventions are a sensitive response to site, context and brief.
